Try again, and contact the Customer Support team if the issues persist.Password managers are a great way to have strong, unique passwords for each website you access – but vital as it is these days, there’s no denying that it’s a chore to change them.
This password wasn't changed: You may have a problem with your internet connection, browser issues, and so on. We couldn't log in: Make sure the username, password, and web address for the login are correct and try again. No network: Make sure your device is connected to the internet, and try to run the Password Changer again. If Password Changer wasn't able to change your password, you might see one of these error messages: 
Next to Password safety, select Change. After the change is complete, you can try your new password. To change all compatible passwords at once, select Change all at the bottom of the page. 
Next to the login you want to change, select Change. Select the menu button in the top-left corner of the app and then select Password Changer. In the Password Strength section, select Change password. Open a compatible login you want to change. You can also change your passwords from your vault: To change all compatible passwords at once, select Change all. Access the Tools menu from the bottom of the app and select Password Changer. Password Changer now can handle these cases and asks you directly in the app for your input. Sometimes changing a password requires adding a 2FA code or validating you're a human with a Captcha. Now, with the addition of contextual error messages, in the rare event that Password Changer can't get the job done, you'll know why. Failures might be caused by a lack of network connection, incorrect information saved in Dashlane, or Password Changer getting blocked at some point in the process. One of the limitations of our legacy Password Changer was the lack of feedback from websites on why the change failed. The tool isn't only more effective but also more secure. But now, Password Changer works directly between your device and the corresponding websites. In the past, the tool required a connection with Dashlane's servers to change passwords. Password Changer in the web app and Safari app What's new? Improved security and reliability This overhaul is a foundational first step to making it easier to update your passwords whenever you need to. Password Changer won't be available within Firefox. Our beta Password Changer is available on iOS, Android, and our web app. 
For any passwords that Dashlane can’t change in one step, we provide a link to those websites, where you can change the passwords. You can change some of your passwords in a single step with the Change Passwords tool. Whenever you need to update any compromised or weak passwords, you can use our Password Generator, and by doing so, you'll keep your passwords as strong as possible and stored within your Dashlane account.Ĭhanging your passwords is a great way to keep your accounts secure.
