Plus remotely tethered I can change SS, ISO, etc. Using the LCD on the camera is a pain-in-the-a** for this.

I use my tethered android tablet in live view to compose, focus, and then shoot at the appropriate moment. I use an el cheapo Hama remote, works well. Why not just use a regular wireless remote? It doesn´t cost much and doesn´t interfere with the tethering if you disable shutter button AF.
